Election Symbol - Sword
Mind always wonders, why during Indian election rallies or campaign, candidates are generally presented swords by the voters? or huge garlands resembling wreaths.
Is it a symbol of their (voters') total surrender to the inevitable predators? or a prompt for eliminating whatever secular or democratic values still surviving.
